Thursday, Aug 8th, 6:30 pm
Meet us at Bricksalt in the Charleston Marriott for a “Meet and Greet and Cash Bar.” The Bricksalt is the new name for the Whitewater Grill, which has undergone extensive renovation as part of the Marriott’s $8 million upgrade. We have the room right next to the bar for reconnecting, chatting, spreading rumors and whatever. Dress is sports casual at this cash bar event. Just show up, no reservations are required.
Friday, Aug 9th, 6:30 pm CHS 63 Class Reunion
Dress is professional casual or however you wish. Starts at 6:30 pm in the Charleston Marriott’s Pavilion Room (access from the third floor) with hors d’oeuvre and plenty of room to easily renew acquaintances. DJ Super Duper Charlie Cooper will play our kinda music in the background so we may also chat. For those who want to prove they’ve “still got it,” there will be a small dance floor where you may “break a leg” if you wish. Literally.
Oh yeah, be sure to be on time because we have one early surprise for you!
There are no “tickets” per se for this event. We are maintaining an official guest list and entrance will be granted via name tag. We will be able to make changes to your name tag at the registration table should you wish. If you wish to check on a reservation, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Class photo at 8 pm. Don’t miss it. And don’t plan to leave until 9:30 pm as that’s the target time to have your CD chocked full of reunion pictures, official class photo, class directory and more ready for distribution.
Saturday, Aug 10th, 6 pm CHS All-Class Reunion
This is a separate event and tickets must be purchased separately.
(Tickets may be purchased at the Charleston Civic Center through Wednesday, August 7th only)
Doors open at 6 pm. Dinner at 7 pm and the dance begins at 8 pm. This was a fantastic dinner/dance three years ago and you can expect many in attendance. Hope you plan to attend.
Be sure to indicate the Class of 63 on your form as they reserve seating by class.
Sunday, 10 am Sunday Brunch at the Marriott
Enjoy the Marriott’s famous Sunday Brunch with us. We will be seated in the Lower Gauley Room of the restaurant so join us. Our target time is 10 am but we’ll be around for awhile if you’re a little late. No reservations are required and meals are on your own.
Other Details …
If you wish a full dinner before or after our Friday night event or anytime you are here, there are numerous restaurants in walking distance of the Marriott. We can suggest the popular Chop House for steak, Tidewater for seafood and the Marriott for American cuisine. Other restaurants are also available within two blocks include an Outback Steak House, Chili’s, Panerra Bread, 5th Quarter and more.
Our 50th Class Reunion is here but, hey, we’re not just gonna die when it’s over. They’re be plenty of opportunities for us to meet and greet especially during the All-Class Reunions which are projected to occur every three years.
