It’s official! The Charleston High School Class of 1963 will meet in a Conversational Class Reunion on Friday, August 12, 2016, 6-9 pm at the Charleston Marriott. The event will feature a reception atmosphere with low music, hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar.
Fact is we’ll be in the Hawk’s Next Room located right beside the hotel’s Brick Salt Restaurant and Bar.
Don’t miss this great opportunity to meet, greet and renew friendships during this CHS All-Class Reunion weekend.
ONLINE: buy your tickets online via PayPal or credit card by clicking the following:
Either way, go ahead and get it done now. And we’ll see you Friday, August 12, 2016!
The August 13, 2016 CHS All-Class Registration is available now on this site. See the bottom of the right hand navigation bar (Download Ticket Info). You may download the form, fill it in and mail to the Charleston Civic Center (address on form). Cost of tickets is $50 per person. Note: a separate registration will be required of any CHS Class of 63 activity. This form is for the Saturday night event at the Charleston Civic Center only.
Be sure to include Class Year on the registration as indicated as this will dictate the number of seats for each class that will be available. Word from the committee is that last minute requests to sit with a specific year can not be honored as this would take up someone else’s seat. So be sure to indicate your class year. All unassigned attendees will be assigned to separate seating is our understanding.
Coming soon: On-line registration and payment. Will let you know as soon as available. Anticipated in February. Also look for Class of 63 email and survey to be released soon.
Additionally: a block of hotels will be announced by the All-Class Reunion Committee probably by February. Again, we will notify all who are registered on this site.
Questions? Might not have answers but feel free to contact Tom Crouser, email@example.com or phone (304) 541-3714. Leave message and I’ll call you back if I can’t answer.
Saturday, August 13, 2016 is the date of the 2016 Charleston High School All-Class Reunion. That hopefully means the Class of 1963 will have an event on Friday, August 12, 2016 honoring our 53rd which is now less than one year away. So, SAVE THE DATE. Your reunion committee is gearing up and you’ll be hearing from us. But mark your calendar now. Remember, we all have only one opportunity to celebrate our 53rd! Don’t miss it.
Meet us at Bricksalt in the Charleston Marriott for a “Meet and Greet and Cash Bar.” The Bricksalt is the new name for the Whitewater Grill, which has undergone extensive renovation as part of the Marriott’s $8 million upgrade. We have the room right next to the bar for reconnecting, chatting, spreading rumors and whatever. Dress is sports casual at this cash bar event. Just show up, no reservations are required.
Friday, Aug 9th, 6:30 pm CHS 63 Class Reunion
Dress is professional casual or however you wish. Starts at 6:30 pm in the Charleston Marriott’s Pavilion Room (access from the third floor) with hors d’oeuvre and plenty of room to easily renew acquaintances. DJ Super Duper Charlie Cooper will play our kinda music in the background so we may also chat. For those who want to prove they’ve “still got it,” there will be a small dance floor where you may “break a leg” if you wish. Literally.
Oh yeah, be sure to be on time because we have one early surprise for you! Continue reading →

While there’s certainly been an out-migration of classmates from West Virginia during the past 50 years; the vast majority still live closer to home rather than further away. At least that’s according to our classmate database which is being updated almost daily as we find new addresses.
Specifically, 47% of classmates with addresses on our list still have West Virginia mailing addresses. Next highest is Florida with 9%. We have no way of knowing, however, how many moved to Florida and worked or who retired in West Virginia and then moved to Florida.
A full 61% of us live within common driving distance to Charleston. We count addresses in the states of Ohio, Virginia, North Carolina and Maryland in addition to West Virginia for this total. Continue reading →
